Funerals

Planning a funeral can feel both overwhelming and daunting, so I’m here to help you right from the outset, until the ceremony is complete.

Whether you have recently lost a loved one, or are preparing for a death, I will be there to support you, guide you and answer any questions you may have.

It is my aim to work with you and any other significant people, side by side, to create a beautiful and fitting tribute and make a difficult day a little bit easier.

I will also be on hand to offer help and advice with the eulogy, but I can even write it for you if that’s something you would like.

Together we will ensure that your loved one has a dignified and memorable farewell, incorporating any stories or details that are important to you.

Celebration of Life

Are you looking to create a more celebratory tribute to your loved one?

I can help you to ensure that your ceremony is filled with laughter, joy and happy memories.

A Celebration of Life is a way to truly reflect the personality and achievements of your loved one.

Saying goodbye doesn’t need to be sad.

Symbolism & Spirituality

As an independent celebrant, I work with people of all faiths and none.

If you want to include a prayer, hymn, reading, blessing or other symbolic, spiritual or cultural element to your ceremony, please talk it through with me.

However, if you prefer to keep it completely free of religious content, that’s fine too.

Because the right way is your way.

Living Funerals

Perhaps you are at a stage of life where you are planning for your own funeral.

I will be there to sensitively guide you through creating the ceremony that you want, making sure that everything you envisage is carefully explored and planned.

We can also take time to look at how to discuss these plans with your loved ones.

Your ceremony, your plans, at your pace.

What happens next?

Step One

Following an introductory phone call, we will meet up wherever you feel most comfortable.    Firstly I will hear all about you and your loved one, then I will explain any next steps.

Step Two

Using the information gathered at our meeting, I will create the content of your ceremony, including the eulogy if you want me to.  I can also help you to choose readings, poems and songs.  In addition, I will keep the Funeral Arranger informed where necessary.

Step Three

You will receive a full copy of the script to approve.  But if something needs changing, that is absolutely fine.  I can also run through the script on the phone or online if you prefer.

Step Four

Finally, I will meet you and the other mourners at the chosen venue and conduct the ceremony.  If there is anything else you need on the day, let me know and I’ll see if I can help.
